Mizuno Racing Team member Dylan Wykes named to Chiba Ekiden Team
Athletics Canada named today the eight athletes who will travel to Chiba City in Japan for the 2013 Chiba Ekiden Race on November 23. The event is a mixed gender race where men and women alternate legs to cover the marathon distance of 42.195K. The race comprises of a men’s 5K, women’s 5K, men’s 10K, women’s 5K men’s 10K and finally a women’s 7.195K.

Mizuno's running office will contribute to Portland's growing reputation as a world leader in sports footwear design, development and distribution.

Mizuno Corp., one of the largest specialty sporting goods manufacturers in the world, says it will open a global running footwear center in Portland, shifting key functions from the company's headquarters in Japan. The Mizuno Portland Design Center is expected to open in January with up to 20 employees when fully staffed. A center location has not been selected, but it will be in Portland. The center will have designers, developers and product managers, including three Mizuno Corp. running officials who will transfer from the company's Osaka, Japan, headquarters.
